Horse Cloning
Harness, secure and recreate your horse’s potential with horse cloning by Gemini Genetics
Horse Cloning From Gemini Genetics
They say a horse of a lifetime only comes around once. At Gemini Genetics, we offer the technology to re-write that concept with equine cloning!
How do you clone a horse?
Once your horse’s genetics are preserved, the DNA is cultured until sufficient genetic material is available for the ‘new horse’. This genetic material is then transferred to a donor egg cell and the cell is electrically stimulated to create an embryo. From here, the embryo is transferred to a recipient mare by artifical insemination who carries the foal and gives birth in the same way as a normal pregnancy.
How much does it cost to clone my horse?
Cloning your horse with ViaGen Pets & Equine costs $85,000.
Can you clone my horse from hair?
Horse cloning can only be achieved from a skin sample (skin biopsy) taken from your horse. Such samples are small and can be taken easily by your vet.
Can you clone other animals?
